Week 16 - The pump is on

Coming to the last week of having everything needing to be handed in. The heat is starting to set in. I'm just keeping my head above water, and by the end of this week, I'll be finished my course. They will be sending me out to the media world, uncharted areas. What I will see, I don't know. What I will do, time will tell. It's going to be different that is for sure. Start some little projects using 3D, try new programs and get away from lightwave, as most of the people in 3D try to stay away from it. Maybe head out to see a few gigs and get some photo's happening. Try my luck in getting a job in web design. All I know is everything is going to change.

Web design -CSS - CSS3

Web has been a passion of mine for quite sometime now. I love using the coding in css, changing and tweaking parts to create something awesome and beautiful. There have heaps of sites that i have used when ever I have been stuck. If you are having and trouble trying to work out what to change to get your site looking its best try look this one up www.w3schools.com/css/. it has everything that you need to get the job done.

Time to move on something that is only a few years old but works a treat. Using CSS3 in your CSS style sheet can give your site something that you could only get with flash before. adding motion, making everything pop out at you. Now I love using GoogleChrome and Firefox. Week 14 - Coming to the end of the year

Hey guys. It’s been a few weeks since my last blog. I have been working franticly to try and get all my work completed before I say goodbye to Tafe and get back into the working world.

So far I have been working heaps in Finishing off my CSS Zen garden that we have to edit an HTML spared sheet using only CSS. It’s starting to get there, just having a few tiny problems this ill fix in the next few days. Here is a small preview.

Heading out on Sunday to do some filming, I’m creating a small supernatural type video that will help show off my After Effect skills to create some cool illusions. The main trouble I’ll find is making sure the audio is recorded right on my 550D canon camera.

3D, well what can I say. Character (Steve) completed and bones installed. Just adding weight to each section, then onto to null for the joints and creating a walk cycle.

Logo

I went through a few types of logos but always liked the feel of something not over the top and to crowded. This logo I have decided on fit with not going over the top by using four simple colours, Black, White, Orange and Grey. Both of these two are my final design. the white background will be used on letter heads and other things that has more white as the dominate colour.

I have been working on a little film for class, and have been using heaps of special effects with them all. I found the best tutorials to use at www.videocopilot.net, everyone of these tutorials I have I have used has worked a treat, with the exception of one. The tutorial called 'Earth Zoom' i found to stop working the way it should when it got halfway through the video and asked to un-parent all the layers from each other and parent them all to layer one, I noticed with mine anyway that all the layers shrunk and messed it all up. So the way I got around this was to not un-parent them. This makes changing the scale of the images 0-100% so much harder as now you will have to go from 0-60,000,000% with the scale. I know that makes it a bit of a pain but thats the way i got around the problem.

Digital Media - Last 6 Weeks to finish this Course

Time has been going so fast, can't believe I'll be finished in 6 Weeks. Got heaps to do but I'm sure if i knuckle down, i'll get through it all. Just been working on getting my 3D face done for my major project (been a little late as i have had problems getting it working on my Mac). Just finished my test cope of a 'Earth Zoom' that will be used at the end of a Gordon MultiMedia ad to be used on there youtube site.

Introduction

Hi there guys, My names Scott, I'm currently in the last semester of completing my Advanced Diploma of Interactive Digital Media. What i'm hoping to get out of this course is something in either Web Design or 3D as I feel they are my strongest subjects.

Web Design
Through the last few years i have seen my skills grow, from being able to create and layout a web page to now expanding my skills using more of a design style, colour style sheets and HTML 5 in CSS. I hope to keep on expanding my abilities in this area.
